The Bikaner Camel Festival is an annual event that takes place in the city of Bikaner, located in the northwestern state of Rajasthan, India.

The festival is a celebration of the important role that camels have played in the history and culture of the region.

The two-day festival typically takes place in the month of January and features a wide range of events and activities, including a colorful parade of decorated camels, traditional Rajasthani music and dance performances, camel races and polo matches, and a variety of competitions and cultural exhibitions.

One of the highlights of the festival is the beautifully decorated and ornamented camels that are paraded through the streets. These camels are adorned with colorful textiles, beaded necklaces, and even silver bells that jingle as they move.

The festival also offers a wide range of traditional Rajasthani food and drink, including local sweets, snacks, and traditional dishes like dal-bati-churma and gatte ki sabzi.

In addition to the main festival events, visitors can also explore the surrounding area and visit some of Bikaner’s famous landmarks, including the Junagarh Fort, the Karni Mata Temple, and the Gajner Palace.
